Ramón Enrique Bartelemy Matos, head of the computer department at the Provincial Health Directorate said that connections are guaranteed in 45 pharmacies in the 22 of the territory, with priority in those inserted in hospitals and in areas with a greater number of populations.

However, he added that the first results of the project will be evident this year in the ten main units located in each municipality and in international pharmacies located in the capital city and Baracoa.

Bartelemy Matos also added that the country invests essential resources for the computerization of the health sector and in the case of pharmacies a PC connected to INFOMED and the INTERNET is installed gradually, as well as a cash register to control sales operations.

With the implementation of the computerization project of pharmacies will also benefit users who wish to install an application on their mobile phones to know in real time, the existence of medicines.
