With laudable results in the attention every year to hundreds of patients from various nations, the Guantanamo Medical Services branch celebrates this August 1st its third anniversary.
Yecenia Ramírez Sosa, Commercial Specialist of that institution said that fundamentally people from Haiti, Germany, France, Puerto Rico, Spain and Cuban-Americans arrive in the territory, which allows to income around seven hundred thousand convertible pesos to the country.
She also reported that the sample of the achievements is the International Medical Care Room of the Doctor Agostinho Neto General Teaching Hospital, which provides specialized and emergency consultations, as well as consultations, treatments and surgeries, among other medical procedures.
It is located on the fifth floor of the building and has independent air-conditioned rooms, hospital and companion bed, air conditioning, TV, minibar, hot water, among other services.
The territory also has a medical office located in the Guantanamo Hotel, a tourist facility where primary health care, nursing, therapeutic massages, podiatry are guaranteed, as well as home visits for clients staying in the rental houses of the territory or relatives .
Attention to patients from other countries extends to the Baracoa clinic, which has an observation room, X-rays, nursing, rehabilitation, laboratory and stomatology services.
The Guantanamo Medical Services branch has two international pharmacies located in the Cuban First City and in one of the main street of the capital of the province in which people can acquire internationally certified drugs, in addition to it provides optical services
