Guantanamo – With the inauguration of 12 houses this Sunday in the 19 de Mayo community, population settled in Los Llanos, Maisi, an equal number of families affected since October 2016 by the destructive impact of the hurricane Matthew in the easternmost municipality of Cuba are benefited there.
The ceremony of the new homes delivery was headed by Yoel Perez Garcia, first secretary of the Provincial Committee Party in Guantanamo, and Carlos Raul Martinez Turro, Vice Governor at the same instance, and the political and governmental authorities of Maisi.
The houses, built with wood and light roofing, were erected in January of the current year in the neighborhood known as La Vega, and include a corridor, living room, kitchen-dining room, two bedrooms, service yard and bathroom.
Their inauguration became a memorable event for their inhabitants, including members of eight vulnerable families, who in addition to the houses, received furniture, mattresses and other utensils.
