Guantánamo.- The province of Guantánamo continues to be impacted by the rains, which have increased the volume of water stored in the reservoirs, which have now reached 33 percent of their capacities, and are showing signs of recovery after the intense drought of recent months.
According to Yinet Marzo Manuel, director of the Hydraulic Development Company in the province, notes that the Faustino Pérez Dam, 94 percent full, is delivering water to the Clotilde Reservoir to maximize the excess runoff.

The Guantánamo Valley, an area severely affected by drought, is benefiting from the rainfall of recent days due to a hydrometeorological event.
In the Caujerí Valley, an area of the municipality of San Antonio el Sur, the Pozo Azul reservoir is recovering, while the Los Asientos reservoir reached its full capacity around noon yesterday and began natural discharges, the directive states.
In this regard, the necessary measures are being taken to keep residents and local governments informed for timely decision-making.
The Hydraulic Development Company, through its command post and in conjunction with the Hydraulic Resources Delegation, maintains constant surveillance and monitoring of rainfall patterns and reservoir levels.
