More than six thousand first-graders entered the Pioneers Explorer Movement on Friday, whose provincial ceremony took place at the Andrés González Lines primary school located in the south of the Guantanamo city.
In this way the children begin a new stage in their life that prepares them for life in the field by developing various skills, which promote interest in caring for nature, strengthens patriotic values and fosters knowledge of history.
In the central activity, Enmanuel de la Cruz García, sixth grade student, highlighted the meaning of being a pioneer explorer by learning to be guided by natural means, offering first aid, among other practices applicable to everyday life.
At the Andrés González Lines primary school, a demonstration of these skills with knots and the orientation by the nautical rose, techniques that demonstrate the group of pioneers in the camps that took place on Friday.
With the entry of more than six thousand Guantanamo students of first grade to the Movement of Explorers, the province is ready for the upcoming competitions, which aims to strengthen its position among the first, taking into account the second national place that today holds.
