The impact of the work of the Guantanamo branch of the Cuban Association of Pedagogues in four national projects will be evaluated on Monday at the provincial assembly, which concludes the process that began in June.
PhD. Marisel Salles, president of this association in the territory, said that teachers in this part of the island contribute to these programs that highlight the contribution of outstanding pedagogues of the XX and XXI centuries; the training of educators since the revolutionary triumph as well as the work with the school councils in the different levels of education, all aimed at enhancing Cuban education, an example for the world.
It also highlights the provincial project "My Matria", aimed at promoting all local values from the slogan "You only love what you know, and only defends what you love", an initiative in favor of strengthening the identity of Guantanamo .
On November 5, the Cuban Association of Pedagogues in the easternmost province will review the scientific, financial and associative management, in which the 1,650 teachers and professors of any discipline that make up this Non-Governmental Organization have an active role.
The work of Guantanamo is also recognized for the accomplishment of important events such as the meeting between Cuban educators and the Dominican Republic and the Advanced Pedagogical Experience Workshop, among others.
