Guantanamo.- With an emotional ceremony of recognition to 32 founders of the University of Guantánamo was held in the Plaza Mariana Grajales, a well-deserved tribute to those who contributed to the academic and scientific growth process of the higher education center that reaches its 45th anniversary.

In an atmosphere of gratitude and pride during the celebration, the impact of the projects and research of the University of Guantánamo was highlighted, which goes beyond the community and local development in these 45 years of the founding of the House of Science and Progress, where increasingly qualified professionals are trained in seven faculties together with nine municipal centers.

The recognition ceremony not only honors the founders, but also inspires new generations of students and academics to continue working with the same commitment and dedication with an eye toward the future, strengthening their mission of contributing to the economic, scientific, cultural and social development of the region and the country.

The meeting was chaired by Rector Osiris Aranda Creagh, who, together with vice-rectors, deans and other directors, paid tribute to the founders who contributed significantly to the growth and development of the university as an academic institution of excellence, recognized in other parts of the world.
