“Contra la pared” (Against the Wall) is the title of the exhibition made up of more than 25 posters, from the 2020 National Humor Award, Arístides Hernández (Ares), which will be presented on December 17 in the La Celosía Room, of the Provincial Committee of the Cuban Writers and Artists Association (Uneac), in Guantanamo.
According to the painter, illustrator and caricaturist artist, the exhibition is his contribution to the activities for the Guantanamera Festival, scheduled from the 14th to the 17th in this territory.
In the content of the collection to be displayed, one perceives the artist’s intention to discuss topics that have been headlines in the national and international press, with an anchor in the current Cuban context.
Ares, recognized for his contributions to the defense of Cuban humor, is invited to the days of the aforementioned festivity, by the Provincial Directorate of Culture, the Council of Plastic Arts and the Guantanamo Uneac.
