Guantanammo.- The 10th district of the Northern Popular Council of Caimanera hosted this Friday the pilot Assembly of the first process of accountability of the delegate to his voters corresponding to the 18th term of office.

Yaimé Pacheco Rodríguez, delegate of the aforementioned popular demarcation, highlighted that this is an eminently political, participatory and democratic process, which will take place at a complex time given the difficult economic situation of the country, fundamentally a consequence of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States on Cuba.

She also referred to specific information from the territory related to sectors such as Commerce and Gastronomy, Education, Health, as well as the fight against illegal and social indiscipline, in the area, “where we all together promote the Cuba we want”, she said.

After announcing her management as a delegate and the report approved by her constituents, a debate was held  on people’s concerns about the sanitation situation of the territory, the way of charging for water from the Aqueduct and Sewerage sector, as well as the dissatisfaction regarding the new provisions related to self-employment, especially the amounts of fines for the non-state form of management.

At the end of the accountability report, the electors who stood out in the period in the fulfillment of the main tasks were recognized, as well as organizations and institutions that support the work in the community.
