Guantánamo – Evaluating the progress of the process of correcting distortions to boost the economy was the fundamental objective of the Extraordinary Plenary Session of the Municipal Committee of the Party in the El Salvador Municipality.
The plenary session was chaired by Leandro Pérez Leyva, an official of the Central Committee of the Party, and Yoel Pérez García, the first Secretary of the Provincial Committee in Guantánamo. The participants held thoughtful discussion on major issues for the more than forty-two thousand inhabitants of the mountainous territory.
It was known that four enterprises in the municipality are reporting losing in their production. El Salvador Agroforestal Enterprise failed to comply with the export of charcoal, the yield is about 106 % of the annual spring harvest, and 1,061 liters of milk are distributed in 31 warehouses in the territory.
A different attention requires the crime that increases in the municipality with 163 incidents, with emphasis on the theft of cattle in the settlements Sempré, Carrera Larga and El Lechero.
Yoanna Fuentes Frómeta, top youth leader, claimed the Party’s attention to the Young Communists League, as a sign of the continuity of the Revolution.
Finally, Yoel Pérez García, the first secretary of the Party in Guantánamo, called for the work exploiting potential of the El Salvador Municipality.
