Guantanamo.- The phrase “Fuerza Guantánamo” (Strength Guantanamo) has become a reality thanks to the popular support that the call made by leaders of the Party, the Government and the mass organizations of Cuba has had, in the face of the severe damage caused by Hurricane Oscar in this eastern province.
An example of this is the departure to this territory of the first brigades of young people to contribute to the recovery of this province, after the call of the First Secretary of the Young Communists League of Cuba, Meyvis Estevez.
On the morning of this Tuesday a brigade from the Caimanera Municipality left for San Antonio del Sur to help those affected by the Category 1 Hurricane Oscar in that Guantanamo territory.
The first donations for families affected by “Oscar” in the easternmost province of Cuba are beginning to arrive at the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).
