Guantanamo.- Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Provincial Governor of Guantanamo and Donna Baños Guerra, Head of the Global Subgroup, inform the population about the instructions for the delivery of mattresses to victims of Hurricane Oscar.
According to the top authorities, the social workers are in charge of certifying the damage to household goods based on the annex of the resolution (socioeconomic characterization where the affected means are classified).
Based on the availability of existing mattresses in the territory, the work department proposes to the Municipal Defense Council (CDM) the order of priority for the delivery of the mattress and presents the basis for each case based on the socioeconomic study previously carried out.
Once the CDM approves the cases to be benefited, it issues an agreement for each beneficiary where it is defined whether it is donated or purchased. If it is purchased, it reports the value of the mattress, and the total to be paid with the 50 percent bonus indicated.
