Guantánamo – Workers from the City Historian’s Office of Baracoa delivered a donation to the 26 elderly people taken in by the Casa de los Abuelos (elderly home) in this municipality.

Alejandro Hartmann Matos, director of the Office, said that it is a gift from the Spanish-Portuguese association Infinity, which had the gesture of sending food and other supplies to Baracoa after the passage of Hurricane Oscar.

Hartmann Matos pointed out that with the support of the public health personnel who work in the offices of the family doctor and nurse, they have also been able to deliver donations to the mother home, people with disabilities and bedridden people.

The Historian of Baracoa, known as the primate city of Cuba, added that as these donations continue to arrive, general and special education centers and the creation workshops of the System of Houses of Culture of the territory will be protected.
