Guantánamo.- Fruitful days in support of food production, social works and communities in transformation are part of the program of activities designed in Caimanera to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
Mayelin Velázquez Zamora, Vice Mayor for social programs in the marine town told to Radio Bahía that although we have lived a year characterized by the intensification of the US blockade against Cuba, energy shortage and impact of hurricanes, “it is about saying goodbye to 2024 with transformations in the social and economic order,” she said.
She also pointed out that it is the purpose of the recreation commission to end the year with various activities, especially for young people, for which there are proposals in the week of culture such as the concerts of the bands Cándido Fabré, Onda Cubana, and Yakaré.
The program of activities also involved other organizations that take part in the recreation of the municipality and which extend until January 8, 2025. The activities comprises recreational sports festivals, baseball games, municipal chess cup, events and competitions, which are the main proposals of Sport sector, according to Siralis Pérez Cintra, director of the sector in the territory.
Political and mass organizations, the education and trade sectors, also have an impact on the activities plan designed in Caimanera for the end of the year 2024.
