Guantanamo.- In 2024, the Ciget Guantánamo Information and Technology Management Center stands out at the national level for the development of multiple technology service packages, services on state orders, as well as advisory and consulting services.
Among the results, the preparation of informative compendia to support projects such as the Catalog of technologies aimed at the treatment of solid and liquid waste, the Guide for the evaluation of the environmental quality of hydrographic basins and the Environmental training plan for decision-makers at the territorial level in areas surrounding the Guantánamo Guaso basin, stands out.
In 2024, the group also stands out with the Provincial Innovation Award for the Study of the perception of multi-hazards in the Jaguaní River basin, in Baracoa, carried out through the Green Basins project, achievement that was approved to carry out similar research work in other municipalities of the province and implement the already proven methodology, in favor of reducing the risks of disasters.
In the past year, the Ciget Guantánamo Information and Technology Management Center stood out at the national level for the work of the specialists who work in the moderation of content for the Ecured corporate Encyclopedia, the recognitions for the contributions in the care of the environment and the work of the Youth Technical Brigades for four consecutive years.
This group aims to improve its work by 2025 to become one of the leading service centres in the territory by having a certified quality management system and contributions in terms of technological packages and information compendia, business advisory services, state orders and consultancies related to innovations in environmental matters and industrial property.
