Guantanamo.- The Guantanamo Province will host the 32nd National Festival of Artisanal Wines from February 18 to 22 with the participation of nearly one hundred producers from eight provinces of the country, summoned to exchange on methods and results in the tradition of winemaking in this tropical country.
The Villa Guaso Club, of the territory, receives for the first time the venue of the competitive event, scheduled among the main activities of the 46th Guantanamo Culture Week, which takes place in the capital municipality of the province until February 24.
The festival also includes activities of the wine-making union such as tasting workshops, a workshop on vermouth wines, a meeting of club presidents, and the opening of the Aromas de la Isla exhibition on the 18th of February at the Rubén López Sabariego House of Culture, which shows traditionally-produced wines by experienced winemakers from Ciego de Ávila, Holguín, Villa Clara, Havana and the host province.
The event is also an opportunity for possible negotiations between the country’s producers and local entities through the interactive fair scheduled for the 21st on the boulevard, where it will be held on the same date.
The 32nd edition of the National Festival of Artisanal Wines also includes the sale and exhibition of homemade wines at the House of Culture and on the boulevard of the Guantánamo City, where on February 21 at three in the afternoon, the awards ceremony and the popular tasting for all those interested in tasting the liquors are planned.
