Guantanamo.- Workers and artists from the Eliseo Osorio Cordero Art Gallery in Baracoa, call for the XI Edition of the Naif Art Contest “Pedro Sabó In Memoriam” that will take place on April 16 and 17.
This event is held, according to its organizers, with the aim of promoting and recognizing the movement of local creators and from other territories of the country dedicated to this modality with its various names.
In addition, the event pays tribute to the late Baracoa painter Pedro Sabó Franco on the 120th birth anniversary and to the 75 years of the local painter Rolando Estévez Gamboa (Panano), as well as to recognize achievements of the project, which includes the creation scholarships awarded in previous editions.
The subject of the paintings vying for this award is open, and any painting technique may be used. each painter should take or deliver a work, set or diptych to the aforementioned cultural institution, and the admission period expires on March 31.
The organizers of constest announce that the work must be unpublished.
