The community of Mandinga hosted an event on the eve of the upcoming International Workers’ Day, with the participation of local students and workers, district-level government representatives, and municipal union leaders.
The event was distinguished by the display of Cuban flags and signs carried by attendees, who also chanted patriotic slogans and applauded the speakers’ interventions in front of the audience.
On the occasion, participants condemned Israel’s barbarity in Palestine and the United States blockade against Cuba. They also supported the efforts of the country’s leadership to save, but above all, maintain, historic and sacred achievements for the benefit of the people.
The participants also recited poems to symbolize feelings of identity with national history and the satisfaction that Mandinga was one of the venue to commemorate May Day in Baracoa.
In addition to the event held in Mandinga for the upcoming International Workers’ Day in Baracoa, similar events are also held in Sabanilla, Guandao, Nibujón, Quiviján, Jamal, and Mabujabo.
