Guantanamo.- The Agroforestry and Coconut Company in Baracoa plans to recover the production of cocoa vinegar, a product in high demand by the local and foreign population, according to the entity’s institutional profile on Facebook.

To achieve this, it has enlisted the help of its specialists and technicians, who are taking the first steps toward achieving this goal.

The temporary disappearance of the product from the market is caused by the low cocoa production, in which plantations have suffered the impact of the Hurricane Oscar.

The installed technology also deteriorated, along with the lack of spare parts, and the emigration of workers to other sectors in search of better wages.

Immediate actions include identifying and addressing the issues in the facility to resolve them as quickly as possible. These include maintenance of the premises’ ceilings and floors, lighting, and equipment restoration.

Cacao honey vinegar is one of Baracoa’s demanded products, with proven quality, a distinctive flavor, and multiple uses.
