Guantanamo.- With the unwavering resolve to remain loyal to the defense of the most precious achievements of the Cuban Revolution, members of the Ministry of the Interior in the province of Guantánamo celebrated the 64th anniversary of this institution, which is commemorated this June 6.
Yoel Perez García, First Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, highlighted the leading role of this armed force in the sacred mission of zealously safeguarding the well-being of the people, state security, internal order, and public peace.
During the act several officers were promoted to higher rank, from Major to Colonel, as well as the Distinguished Service Medal was given to combatants with commendable results of work assignments and missions, and to those with 10, 15, and 20 years of service in this military institution.

In particular, the leadership of the Party and Government in the province presented a recognition to the Headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior in Guantánamo Province, as well as the territory’s political and mass organizations, including the ACRC, FMC, CDR, UJC, and the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
