Guantanamo.- Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor of Guantánamo, pursuant to Article 24, paragraph (b) of Law 138 on the Organization and Functioning of the Provincial Government of People’s Power, calls for an extraordinary provincial council meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., from the People’s Power Theater.
Among the topics to be analyzed are: the progress of the implementation and fulfillment of the Government’s Program to correct distortions and boost the economy in 2025.
Actions to strengthen municipalities and the completion of staffing levels, structures, and personnel through the reorganization and internal restructuring of human resources.
Reorganization of the management of Communal Services, implementation of the economic plan, physical indicators, and measures for its recovery. Budget execution and results in price controls and actions to limit profits and fiscal control.
Food production and municipal self-sufficiency. Organization and work system to address the vulnerabilities identified in Prevention and Social Care (confronting drug use, homeless people, child care, community centers, and work in neighborhoods).
Information on the safeguards and tasks for Summer 2025 will be presented for analysis.
