Guantanamo.- With the motivation of the Mi Moncada Guantanamero campaign, the municipality of Niceto Pérez highlights the planting of sugarcane and the cultivation of animal feed for cattle, tasks led by workers from the productive structures of the agricultural sector in this territory located in the southern region of the Cuban easternmost province.

The participation of unionists in these mobilizations responds to the country’s need to achieve greater sugar production. Animal growth and well-being are also guaranteed through the cultivation of protein plants such as titonia, mulberry, and moringa, among other species that are highly beneficial to various animal species, such as horses and sheep and goats.

Georquis Cala Rodríguez, vice president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power of Niceto Pérez, emphasizes that they also carry out other activities such as cleaning and solid waste collection in neighborhoods to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrison in Cuba.

Likewise, in La Yaya, the chief town of the municipality of Niceto Pérez, along with the five popular councils in that district, children’s and community parks are being refurbished, the revolutionary posters signs are being restored to their original color, and commercial and gastronomic establishments, medical offices, television theaters, the library, and the museum, among other cultural institutions are also painted.

The Mi Moncada Guantanamero campaign, the Niceto Pérez is distinguished among the ten municipalities of the province where action is taken with enthusiasm and commitment in the different political, economic and social tasks, on the occasion of the advent of July 26, National Rebellion Day, an event in homage to the heroes and martyrs of that feat led by Fidel Castro in 1953.
