Guantanamo.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel denounced the new US plan strengthening Washington’s economic, commercial and financial blockade of the island.

In an X message, Diaz-Canel described the new US Presidential Memorandum released on Monay as an aggressive measure responding to the tight interests which do not represent the wish of the majority of the US people.

The Cuban President alerted that the new US move aims at inflicting the strongest harm and suffering possible to the Cuban people, but he sad that despite its impact “they will not have us kneel down.”

US President Donald Trump issued a new Memorandum on Monday updating the US policy on Cuba, meaning the strengthening of the US blockade by passing measures similar to those imposed during his first office term, including the legal prohibition of US tourism to Cuba and other actions damaging Cuban economy.
