The Guantánamo Center for Technological Management and Information (CIGET, in Spanish acronym) is distinguished nationally by producing valuable compendiums for use in research and innovation, in addition to offering specialized advisory and consulting services to entities and workers in the non-state sector.
In this regard, CIGET’s work stands out in the search, processing, and provision of scientific and technological information for science centers, universities, companies, and local governments, supporting timely decision-making in each case.
CIGET Guantánamo also conducts disaster risk perception studies as part of the Tarea Vida Plan (Life Task Plan) and participates in territorial development projects aimed at increasing agricultural and general production yields for several companies, says Eliecer Constanten Bonnanet, Deputy Director of Scientific and Technical Services.
It is also noteworthy that the specialists in this group contribute to the improvement of quality systems, brand certifications, and other distinctive features of state and private entities, in addition to the implementation of technology transfers.
Through this extensive work, the Center for Technological Management and Information (CIGET) in the province facilitates collaborations between scientific institutions and the productive sector to disseminate scientific results and innovation that benefit socioeconomic development, among other contributions.
