Guantanamo.- The CMKS provincial radio station’s Radio Crusade reached the Yumurí River area in Baracoa, a green area very close to Cuba’s First City.
The dynamic team from the “Vereneando con mi gente” program, comprised of the charismatic announcer Odalis Porte Darroman; the humorist Jorge Vega Ramírez, called “Pirigua”; the sound engineer Alberto Baró González, and Alcides Vinent Calderín, the director of the program, traveled to the site to broadcast live to the audience.
In this extraordinary natural location, it was demonstrated that CMKS’s programming schedule is not only popular with listeners in the city of Guantánamo, but is also a favorite among residents of the Yumurí area.
According to Vinent Calderín, the true essence of this program is to bring radio to its listeners, and nothing better than from their own communities, demonstrating that radio, despite its limitations, always offers a lot of love.
