Guantanamo.- Guantánamo Province stands out as national vanguard in the emulative movement in honor of the 48th anniversary of the founding of the National Union of Cultural Workers (SNTC, in Spanish acronym) to be commemorated on September 7, according to Katia Rodríguez Ramos, general secretary of this union in Cuba, on her Facebook profile.
The province of Holguín shares the same status with Guantánamo, due to its compliance with union indicators and the relevant work of this union’s members in both territories. Camagüey won the headquarters of the national event for this commemoration, positioning itself at the forefront of this emulation movement.
Katia Rodríguez Ramos, the unionist leader, also recognized the municipality of Isla de la Juventud and the provinces of Matanzas and Ciego de Ávila in her social media post. She urged the rest of the territories to join this emulation process, and described the Second Conference of the SNTC as a decisive step.
The general secretary also conveyed a warm greeting to all the provinces, on behalf of the National Union of Cultural Workers in the country, the Ministry of Culture, the Institute of Information and Social Communication, and the National Advertising and Events Company.
