Guantánamo.- With various points of view and enriching discussion, workers from the Francisco Castro Ceruto Polyclinic in the Guantánamo municipality of El Salvador held the Pilot Consultation Assembly for the Draft Labor Code Law.

The Assembly was attended by Yoel Pérez García, First Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee in Guantánamo; Juana Eglis Fernández Louis, Secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Federation in the province; and the highest political and governmental authorities of the mountainous municipality.

Topics such as equal opportunities in the workplace, training and advancement, the right to unpaid leave, deadlines for preparing employment records, and other issues of interest were at the center of the debate.

The Draft Labor Code Law submitted for consultation seeks to establish a regulatory framework that guarantees workers’ rights, promotes equity, and fosters a more dynamic work environment.

According to Yaritza Cabrales Ramírez, Secretary of the CTC in the municipality, a total of 145 consultation meetings are planned until November 30.
