Guantanamo.- As part of a national tour, La Guantanamera Cultural Center, of Artex S.A. agengy, hosted the concert “”Regreso al Corazón” (Return to the Heart), the well-known singer-songwriter Waldo Mendoza, along with urban genre singers Fabio Bolaños (Fabicile) and César Quintana (Mamá Estoy Brillante), as well as artists from the cast of the Cuban soap opera of the same name.

During the presentation, accompanied by the youth group D’wApe and directed by Waldito Mendoza, the guest artists and maestro Waldo Mendoza shared a selection of songs from the soundtrack of this audiovisual production, including the beloved tracks “Labios Rojos,” “Lo más importante,” “Faraona,” “Regreso al Corazón,” and “Es tan oculto.”

This national tour, promoted by the Ministry of Culture; the Musicuba Artistic Representations Agency; the Cuban record label EGREM and the Cuban Institute of Music, marked Waldo Mendoza’s reunion with the Guantanamo public.

He described this moment as a prelude to the 2025 Chocolate con Café Festival, an event of which he is the honorary president and which he also anticipated will be attended by other actors from the Cuban soap opera Regreso al Corazón.

The occasion was also enlivened by musical performances by Tony Lugones, who embodies the character of Adriano in the aforementioned television program. He was also accompanied in this presentation in the city of Guaso by actress Linda Soriano (Leticia), and young artists Arián González (Eduardo), Rey Guesa (Camilo), and Tommy Delgado (Leandro), members of the cast of the current Cuban soap opera.

The national tour, “Regreso al Corazón,” by singer and composer Waldo Mendoza, will continue through the provinces of Holguín, Camagüey, Sancti Spíritus, Cienfuegos, and Matanzas, culminating with a major concert scheduled in the Cuban capital at the Karl Marx Theater on October 19th.
