Guantánamo – Edsnel Eugenio Daudinot Llibre is a 30-year-old scientist from Guantánamo Province, who is contributing to the development of sports in this eastern province through artificial intelligence (AI).
He is currently preparing for his doctoral dissertation defense, and also takes part at the 11th International Convention on Physical Activity and Sport (AFIDE 2025), held at the Convention Palace in Havana, under the motto “Science to win”.

During the event, he presents his study on a computer system that is helping to optimize training, refine tactical elements, and improve athletic performance optimization of Guantanamo athletes, including his training as leader of the karate team, an investigation praised by Osvaldo Vento Montiller, President of INDER (National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation) and delegates from more than 25 countries.
On this November 19th, Cuba celebrates the National Sports and Physical Culture Day, and it is opportunity to congratulate Edsnel and all the workers of INDER.
