Guantanamo.- Guantánamo intensified its actions this week against abusive and speculative prices, in an effort to ensure transparency and compliance with regulations.
According to the Provincial Defense Council, more than 2,000 inspections were carried out in the territory, detecting some 1,038 violations, representing an average infraction rate of 56 percent.
In total, 968 fines were issued, 163 of which were for violations of Decree 30 regarding price and tariff infractions, as well as Decree Law 91 concerning self-employment and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), with a total amount collected exceeding one million pesos.
This effort included forced sales, the closure of establishments, and the withdrawal of projects for failing to comply with QR code requirements and bank deposit frequency requirements.
