Guantanamo.- The Friendly Voice of CMKS Radio Station is kept in the hearts of Guantanamo residents, who today cebrate the Radio World Day.

A plaque is also unveiled identifying the station’s main studio with the name of the renowed late annoucer and tehacher Aristides Mejias Raymond,  who devoted his life for the radio in Guantanamo.

The CMKS Radio Station was founded on June 27th, 88 years ago, and became the Trinchera Antimperialista of Cuba (The Anti-imperialist Trench of Cuba).

The staff of CMKS highlights the visit to the retirees, those men and women whose unforgettable experiences encouraged today’s professionals, immersed in their daily work that seek to offer communication products to different age groups to enrich their culture and strengthen their identity.

Currently, the CMKS’s work include the Megahertz Production Staff, the multimedia production unit that expands the work of traditional radio to different platforms in Internet.
