Paula Andrea Alí Rivera was awarded the 2026 National Television Prize, the highest recognition given in Cuba to media personalities for their entire body of work and professional career.
The decision was approved on July 9, 2026 by the Board of Directors of the Institute of Information and Social Communication (ICS), after evaluating the artistic trajectory, the integrity of his work and the public impact of a career dedicated for more than six decades to Cuban television, theater and film.
The National Radio and Television Award was created in 2002 by Resolution 56/02 of the then Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) to recognize artists whose contributions have been significant to both media. In the case of television, the award ceremony coincides with the anniversary of its founding in Cuba on October 24, 1950.
The jury responsible for the selection was composed of José Ramón Artigas Vázquez, as president; Miguel Lino Patterson Meriño, Julio Pulido Castillo, Roberto Cornelio Ferguson, Julián Armando Pérez Delgado, and Caridad Rojas Zayas. Migdalia Pérez served as secretary for the process.

Born on January 26, 1938, in Candelaria, Pinar del Río, Paula Alí entered the artistic world in 1959 as a television model. In 1965, she began her association with the Teatro Martí, an emblematic venue of Cuban culture, and in 1970 she joined the Teatro Estudio group, one of the most prestigious companies in the country, where she remains to this day.
Throughout his extensive career he has played characters in soap operas, television films, TV theater spaces, series and humor programs that are part of the Cuban audiovisual memory.
