Guantanamo.- The “New Centenarians” event and the symbolic giant bonfire known as the “Flame of Victory” will unite the entire province in a collective celebration.

On August 13, the main day of festivities, the “Following Your Footsteps” bicycle ride will retrace the routes of Fidel Castro’s visits to Guantánamo.

The day’s program will conclude with a gala performance at the Guaso Theater and the presentation of the Provincial Community Culture Award.

Throughout the summer, parks will become gathering spaces filled with laughter, while streets and neighborhoods will transform into stages for cultural activities.

Young people will take an active role in initiatives aimed at making Guantánamo a better place, according to organizers.

Music, shared memories, and the participation of every family member are at the heart of the celebrations.

Summer is a season for everyone, and organizers say only through the active involvement of the entire community can the province truly celebrate a “Summer with My People.”
