The group of the Territorial Division of the Cuban Telecommunications Enterprise (ETECSA) in Guantanamo, is committed to expanding its services in favor of the well-being of clients and contributing to the Cuban economy.
The engineer Ever Gel Pelegrin, head of the commercial and marketing department of that entity, reported that the province increased its services in recent years and today has more than 53,000 fixed basic telephone lines, as well as 2,665 public devices scattered even in hard-to-reach communities.
As part of the attention to the areas of the Turquino Plan, the ETECSA group implements telephone service in all communities with more than 150 inhabitants and has the challenge of reaching 10 small population settlements that do not yet have services between 2023 and 2025 due to the lack of the technological conditions for it.
Based on the capacities that are created through the execution of investments, Guantánamo has a plan for this year of 1,323 fixed lines, of which 417 have already been offered to clients, as part of the 6 commercialization processes that are currently being developed. .
Finally, Ever Gell Pelegrín, head of the commercial and Marketing department of the territorial division of ETECSA in the province, pointed out the implementation of investments and the putting into service the new radio bases, ETECSA expands the infrastructure of the communications network to achieve more business clients and the population.
