The Leche Kortada Alternative Cuban Music Festival, promoted by the Hermanos Saíz Association in Baracoa, will take place in the First City from July 7 through 9, in order to contribute to the visualization and promotion of new music trends.
Around a dozen local and Santiago de Cuba performers, who cultivate reggae, rap, rock, hall dance and electronic music, will have concerts and presentations in areas such as the Cristóbal Colón park, the Baracoa boardwalk, the main venue of the event and other institutions.
The theoretical section will have the presence of researchers, promoters and producers of alternative music in the Cuban eastern territory; they will discuss on this national and international musical scene.
Conversations with musicians and a panel dedicated to the AHS´ Fourth Congress, which the past and present of the Baracoa cell will be recalled.
Leche Kortada, since it was founded in 2013, is an event of considerable sociocultural impact that overlaps art manifestations such as the projection of audiovisuals and the carrying out of campaigns that promote healthy recreation in natural spaces for the 2023 summer.
