Panamanian President Laurentino Cortizo chaired Wednesday the launching of the Panama Digital program to turn Panama into a connection center for this sector in Latin America.

The Panamanian leader said at the event that this project, supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), aims at positioning the country as the epicenter of digital innovation in the region.

During the meeting, Cortizo announced the facility’s construction to house the known Digital Hub for Government Innovation and Technology, which will be a transforming milestone for Panama, as it will become one of the first buildings of its kind in the region dedicated exclusively to boosting innovation and government technology.
