Guantanamo canoeist Yarisleidis Cirilo advanced to final A of the single-seater (C-1) at 200 m in the World Canoeing Championship that takes place until next Sunday in the German city of Duisburg, Germany.

The Cuban News Agency reports that according to the International Federation site, Cirilo was first, with a time of 45.04.9 seconds, in the semifinal three of the modality and went on to the discussion of medals in the afternoon session.
