As empowered, united, authentic and genuine, women in Caimanera carried out their Assembly prior to the Eleventh Congress of the Cuban Women Fedeation (FMC), with the presence of Teresa Amarrelle Boué, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and general secretary of theOrganization.
According to the Radio Caimanera website, the 60 delegates of the coastal municipality in Guantanamo, representing the membership, discussed the report about the Organization’s work in the last five years, read by Yaimé Pacheco Rodríguez, General Secretary of the FMC in that territory.
The political, ideological, preventive and educational work in the neighborhoods, as well as the differentiated work with young people were some of the topics of the meeting.
The moment was appropriate to present the results of the organization’s alliances with sociocultural and community projects and the University branch in Caimanera.
The assembly for the 11th Congress of the FMC held in Caimanera elected the organization´s Municipal Committee and Secretariat, in which Yaimé Pacheco Rodríguez was ratified as General Secretary, who also demonstrated the commitment to contribute to strengthening the work of the delegations and blocks inthe communities.
