The Journalist Association in Guantanamo evoked the presence of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution with the exhibition of the documentary Fidel Castro, unforgettable presence, by the doctor in Historical Sciences Noralis Palomo Díaz, president of the José Martí Cultural Society in the province, and the director Ramón Ortiz Reyes, from the Solvisión local TV station.
Lasting 47 minutes with autochthonous music, the work reflects the 25 times the leader toured the eastern territory between 1959 and 1995, and left deep traces and indications to promote its socioeconomic development.
Screened in the Huambo theater in this city, the documentary honoring the 90th anniversary of Fidel’s birth, is part of the tribute that the Guantanamo people pay these days to the Eternal Commander, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of his death, on November 25.
Other actions with which the work and thought of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution are remembered in the easternmost territory are vigils in schools, talks on Fidel and Marti ideas as well as workshop.
