The confrontation of crime, corruption and illegalities with emphasis on livestock theft and illegal slaughter was one of the topics that raised the debate in the first meeting of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Guantanamo, corresponding to the year 2024.
In the exchange, the members of the body highlighted the need for multifactorial work and the strengthening of actions such as revolutionary surveillance from the neighborhoods with active citizen participation.
The First Secretary of the Party in the easternmost province of Cuba, Yoel Pérez García called to contain the scourge based on evaluations in each territory that allow identifying the causes and conditions that promote the growth of crime, while highlighting the speed in the eradication and clarification of the facts.
The Provincial Bureau of the Party also evaluated the communication campaign launched at the end of 2023, which from the political order ensures the Government’s projections based on the measures reported by the Prime Minister of Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz in the most recent Plenary Session of the National Assembly of Popular Power.
Likewise, the actions that must be carried out in the neighborhoods were reviewed with the representatives of the people and all the factors of the communities to achieve a successful process of delegates’ accountability to their voters, when the country calls.
