With the arrival of the first month of the year, preparations begin in the Manuel Tames Municipality, in Guantanamo for a renewed meeting with the world of performing arts and to receive on January 28 the members of the 36th edition of the Guantanamo-Baracoa Theater Crusade, an event that has its main motivation in honoring the Cuban Apostle.

Dania Balbier, Director of Culture, highlights that this edition will also celebrate the three decades of artistic life of the Guantanamo puppeteer Emilio Vizcaíno Ávila and Colombia, one of the countries traditionally represented in each event.

He pointed out that during the 28th, 29th and 30th of this month and under the slogan “Building cultural spaces for life”, the guests on this occasion, in addition to appearing in the selected communities, will also exchange with the Integral Mountain Artistic Ensemble and with the members of the several award-winning Jagüey La Esperanza project based in the Argeo Martínez neighborhood.

The Director of Culture also explained that during the three days conferences, creation workshops and talks will be given as part of the teaching projections of the Guantanamo-Baracoa Theater Crusade; a possibility for improvement, aesthetic enjoyment and appreciation of the transcendence of a project that already has 34 editions bringing the performing arts to the communities of the Guantanamo mountain ranges of the Manuel Tames, Yateras, Imías, San Antonio del Sur, Maisí and Baracoa municipalities.
