With the aim of overthrowing Prime Minister Ariel Henry, the opposition will try to paralyze the nation for five consecutive days starting Monday and turn the capital into a ghost city.

Former Senator Jean Charles Moïse issued the call to resume the anti-government mobilizations this Monday, both in Port-au-Prince and nationwide.

Moïse, who leads the “Pitit Desalin” platform, reiterated that the aim of the street riots is the same: overthrow the Henry Government and end the bourgeois domination.

Charles Moïse called on the Haitian population to close the doors of public institutions without distinction and no possibility of peaceful demonstrations, which would have no time, route and destination.

The former senator advised the police not to interfere in this popular struggle to support Henry, whose tenure has been marked by allegations of criminality, corruption, and instability.
