The catalog enriches the vast documentation of the Antonio Rodriguez Morey Information Center, attached to the Museum, about the legacy of the prestigious Cuban artist, the cultural institution published on its Facebook profile.
It also expands the knowledge about the work of Cuban artists who, in the field of ceramics, have had a notable presence in this European country for several decades.
The catalog, featuring photographs by Jorge Felix Diaz (Jotaf), archives of the institution of the Historical Center, edited by Celín González Martínez, and editorial design by Gretel Ruiz-Calderón González, also joins numerous pieces included in the exhibition.
Such is the case of the display “Lam et les Magiciens de la Mer,” which was inaugurated at the Museo della Ceramica di Savona and the Museo Difuso in Albissola Mare, in Italy, in June 2023, with works created by Lam in the 1960s and 1970s, when he worked at the Ceramiche San Giorgio in that country.
This exhibition has been open to the public at the National Museum of Contemporary Ceramics since December 2023, and it includes one of Lam’s works from the Museum’s collections.
