The relevant trajectory of the Mountain Development Center (CDM) and its contributions of revolutionary science in the mountains were recognized by the Provincial Committee of the Party and the Government at the level in Guantanamo during the ceremony to commemorate the 30th anniversary of that institution founded by Army General Raúl Castro Ruz on February 3, 1994.
The diploma was given to the Master of Science Amauri Díaz Rodríguez, its director, by Madelexis Fernández Rivera, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party, and Donna Baños Guerra, Coordinator of Programs and Objectives to address the Economy in the provincial Government.
Enidia Téllez Fuentes, Amauri Díaz Rodríguez, Nancy Noa Lobaina and Noraysi Abreu Romero, founders of the Center active three decades later, were honored also at the event.
The CDM management also awarded diplomas of recognition to workers with 15 or more years of experience, and to various entities and organizations that contributed to the introduction and development of sustainable technologies for the conservation of Cuban mountains.
Juan Eglis Fernandez Louit, general secretary of the provincial Committee of the Central Workers of Cuba, presented the Center with the Flag for the 85th Anniversary of that union organization that emerged on January 28, 1939 in Havana.
