Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor of Guantanamo, led the meeting of the economic and social group of the province to analyze the maintenance of the vitality of the territory, in the face of the complex situation that the country is experiencing, increased by the current energy contingency, deficit of fuel, food and other resources.
In the meeting with members of the Provincial Council of the Government of People’s Power and directors of organizations, the Governor evaluated key issues with the supply of water to the population, the schedule of electrical damage, the distribution and marketing of food and the sustainability of services in the area, as well as commerce and gastronomy, education and public health.
The highest government authority in Guantanamo indicated taking the necessary measures to address any situation, problem and demand of the population and seek solutions as far as possible.
To deal with any eventuality, the heads and cadres of the province and the ten Guantanamo municipalities are in the different neighborhoods, visiting work and student centers, as well as interacting with the population.
