Guantánamo – The systematic attention to disabled people and the need for timely guidance that allows them to raise the problems that affect them marked the third meeting Open Dialogue With the People, which develops the First Secretary of the Party Committee in the territory, Yoel Pérez García, along with government authorities in communities in transformation as Primero de Mayo, neighborhood of the Central-West People’s Council, of the provincial capital municipality.
The communicational space is an opportunity for exchange to broaden popular participation in an active way and turn the Guantanamero into the protagonist of the tasks in the different scenarios in spite of the economic shortages and other difficulties faced by the country.
In this sense, Pérez García explained to the representation of inhabitants present at the meeting the energy situation currently facing the country and the alternatives being sought to alleviate the situation, while informing of other initiatives being implemented in Guantánamo to improve the quality of life of the population.
In the meeting, the inhabitants showed their concern with the execution of an old investment process in the elementary school of the Primero de Mayo community, where there are more than 3,600 inhabitants and a growing number of children, in addition to other problems such as the collection of solid waste and the complex situation of the housing fund which today has 70 percent of the wind considered in bad condition.
Likewise, the attention to multiparous mothers and the role of the family, the basic cell of society, in the education of their children, and its performance as the axis of social.
