The XLVI edition of the Regino Eladio Boti Literature and Plastic Arts Contest, from June 5 to 8, proposes a program of panels, conferences, exhibitions and conversations focused on the contributions of the illustrious Guantanamo figure to artistic teaching and his imprint in local culture.
The event, on this occasion, is dedicated to the 146th birth anniversary of Regino E. Boti, to the 95th anniversary of the books Kodak ensueño and Rumbo a Jaruco, Emotive Prosas, to the work oAntón Morales and to the engraving.
During these four days, the program of activities includes also visual art exhibitions and other initiatives that involve the participation of students, workers, artists, writers and the general population, in cultural institutions, study and work centers, communities, and other locations, in addition to the Antonio Maceo Order Border Brigade, according to the schedule.
“Fidel entre nosotros” (Fidel between us), is the name of the personal exhibition of Nelson Domínguez, the 2009 National Fine Arts Award that will open in Guantanamo this Wednesday, June 5, at eight in the evening, in the Palacio Salcines ArtGgallery, of the Provincial Council of Visual Arts (CPAP, in Spanish abbreviation), in this city.
The collection of thirty works is one of the inaugural activities of the 46th edition of the Regino E. Boti Literature and Plastic Arts Contest, which includes an extensive program in both events, visual arts and literature, until Saturday 8th.
The “Antonia Luisa Cabal Salis” Professional School of Music participates in the XLVI Regino E. Boti Literature and Plastic Arts Conference, with the conference given by Dr.C. Marisel Salles Fonseca.” The historiographic work of Regino E. Boti.” An approach to History through Boti, to defend our identity and our culture.
