Guantanamo.-Dedicated to the 71st anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada Quarter in Santiago de Cuba province and Carlos Manuel de Caspedes Quarter in Bayamo municipality, the University of Medical Sciences of Guantanamo closed the graduation cycle corresponding to the second course of basic nursing technician.
During the day of celebrations, students from Caimanera, Niceto Perez municipalities and the provincial capital received their diplomas from their professors who for ten months taught them the subjects that guarantee their competence in the labor stage after their incorporation in the different health areas and hospitals.
On the occasion of the graduation which included about five hundred graduates, the young woman, Noraelis Gomez Padilla on behalf of the graduates expressed her pride in being part of the new nursing professionals in the province in charge of contributing to health services and her commitment to continue improving her knowledge.
Likewise, Mariyanni Gamboa Gamboa, course coordinator , emphasizes that nearly five hundred young people will be able to work in the 22 health areas and health care centers of the territory such as nursing homes, maternity homes and other institutions of the sector, because they have a comprehensive training with high values of commitment, humanism and responsibility fostered during the preparation, which will continue until they graduate at the higher level.
During the ceremony for the end of the basic technical nursing course held this Wednesday at the Ibrahim Ganen Prats Theater of the University of Medical Sciences, graduates Carlos Maulin Alvarez, Aleida Maria Willian Velazquez, Minervis Suarez Peña, Yaima Gamez Cala and Reinier Pupo Rodriguez were recognized as the most outstanding graduates of the Dr. Agostinho Neto General Teaching Hospital.
