Guantánamo – Yoel Pérez García, first secretary of the Party in the Guantánamo province, led the Ernesto Che Guevara brigade, made up of a hundred agro-industrial workers  who are going  to prepare land to ensure the planting of sugarcane in the next cold season.

The brigade has 34 agricultural machinery and implements belonging to the Guantanamo Niceto Pérez municipality and the sister Granma province, in charge of preparing more than 1,200 hectares of soil for the planting of sugar cane.

This agricultural movement is joined by teachers from the Territorial Directorate of the Institute of Sport, Recreation and Physical Culture (INDER), headed by Paula Cisneros Robles, director of the entity in the municipality of Guantánamo, who will support the planting.

In his speech, Yoel Pérez García, the top party leader in the eastern province, stressed the importance of ensuring quality in the task of recovering the sugar harvest in the Cuban Upper East, a task of primary importance to ensure agricultural performance and increase sugar and efficiency.
