The second issue of the Cruzando el Realengo artistic tour, dedicated to the Lino Álvarez de Las Mercedes theater group, only one of its kind in Cuba, concluded in the municipality of El Salvador.

It is a joint effort that brought together exponents of different art expressions of the Performing Arts, pertaining to the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) Art Group in Guantanamo.

It added, as guests, members of Palabras al Viento, a group from Holguín that will add more theater and oral expressions to the proposals conceived for the public of 21 communities in that remote site.

In addition to the show in Costa Rica (former Ermita sugar mill), the tour in its first two days (August 22 and 23) included performances in the communities of Egipto, Ojo de Agua, Los Ñames, La Comunal, Los Tomates and Baltazar.

The performances also reached El Lechero, Soledad del Mango, La Yúa, Marcos Sánchez and José Grande, in a day with hints of evocation and homage to the local Lino de las Mercedes Álvarez Traditional Theater Group, on the 90th anniversary of its founding.

Cruzando el Realengo, which also commemorated the 98th anniversary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, visited Cuneira, La Lima, El Caró, La Margarita and Tiguabos, and close its tour in Santa Fe, Media Luna and the former Soledad Sugar Mill, the capital of the municipality of El Salvador.
